About ISF-C

ISF-C works in conjunction with manufacturers, integrators, and service providers to improve the quality and usability of commercial display systems. Based on the original Imaging Science Foundation, established in 1994, ISF-C has taken the lead in creating industry standards for commercial display calibration. As technologies have begun to converge, ISF-C is taking an increasingly active role in research and development to improve integration of commercial display systems. ISF also acts as advocate for the value of calibration and other functions that can improve the quality of systems throughout the industry.

Industry Advocacy
With relationships in all parts of the industry – from manufacturers and researchers, to integrators and service providers – ISF-C has one of the most up-to-date and comprehensive libraries of research on calibration and integration issues. In addition to using this knowledge to train professionals and certify products, ISF-C acts as an advocate for these issues. Members of the ISF-C board have written for virtually every major industry publication while contributing to articles appearing in publications as diverse as The Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, Cnet, PC Magazine and Wired.

Industry Education
The goal of ISF-C training is to provide information, as well as familiarity with standards and practices for those who wish to become expert in the field of displays and calibration. ISF-C works across industry boundaries permitting professionals easy access to information beyond the confines of their current work experience. It allows manufacturers to improve designs to enhance product deployment and minimize service issues in the process. Finally, ISF-C training provides a foundation from which continuing measureable improvements in display calibration can be made.
